Download Crisp for Mac

The current release, notarized by Apple: macOS 14.0 or later, Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Free to use: upscaling, restoring and colour exports up to 60 seconds, everything else at full length, all with a small “Made with Crisp” mark; Pro removes the mark and the limit.

How fast it runs on your macOS

Crisp is built for macOS 14 and tested on macOS 14 and 26. Which upscaler it uses depends on your macOS:

• macOS 15 Sequoia or later: Core ML, on your Mac's GPU. Full speed.
• macOS 14: a different upscaler, Crisp's ncnn engine, also on your Mac's GPU. Upscaling takes about 1.5 times as long.

The picture comes out the same either way; only the wait changes.

Measured on a Mac Studio (M1 Ultra) in October 2026: a 3-second clip doubled to 720p took 3.4 seconds with Core ML and 5.0 seconds with the ncnn upscaler that macOS 14 uses. That is the macOS 14 upscaler timed on a newer macOS; it has not yet been timed on a Mac running macOS 14 itself.
